The HMM-364 Honor Roll is an ongoing effort  to pay tribute to those Purple Foxes who were recognized  with personal decorations  for their valor and  devotion to duty during their service in Vietnam. We recog- nize  there are  untold others  whose awards  yet  remain  undiscovered and unpublished.  It  is  further  acknowledged   that  countless others performed similar extraordinary and  heroic acts that were never docu- mented.  They wear  no symbol  of bravery  on their  chest but  can  be confident  in the  knowledge that  they earned the respect of their peers and  the  undying  gratitude  of  those  desperate  souls on  the  ground whose lives  depended  on  their  courage  and  skill.  The Purple Foxes listed on  the Honor Roll  and those whose deeds are  yet undiscovered or  undocumented did not set out to become heroes.  They  would only want it said that when placed  in extraordinary circumstances  they did their job to the best of their ability.
