Ernesto "Gooie" Gomez
Honors All Veterans on July 4th

During my 4th of July ride on an original WWII vehicle (lovingly restored by National Museum of the Pacific War staff) I shot hundreds of photos but this is one of my favorites.

This gentleman is a Marine Veteran riding on the National Museum of the Pacific War's WWII truck in the Fredericksburg Parade.  During my ride with him in the truck,  I was lucky to be witness to his love and dedication of the United States of America.  He rode the entire route shouting,  "God Bless America!"

Most touching to me was every "Welcome back!" and "Thank you, Marine!" he called out - encouraging every veteran he saw along the way.

Though our mission at The Admiral Nimitz Foundation is “Inspiring youth by honoring our heroes”   this veteran honored us all.  God Bless America indeed.

This honorable veteran’s name is:

 Ernesto "Gooie" Gomez,  USMC (1965-1970)
 830-257-3911
