500 lb bombs impacting about 800 yards north of 881S.
NVA tended to place antiaircraft guns in tree lines were they had
some concealment. We would spot the emplacements when they
fired during the Supergaggle, then destroy them if we could get CAS
aircraft after the helos left.

Getting rid of trash was a challenge. It got blown around by helos or by the wind. Burn- ing it simply provided an aiming point on the smoke plume for the NVA gunners, and when fog gave us the opportunity to dig, we had more important digging than trash burial.
